Exploring Faith and Spirituality

Music is such a part of most peoples lives!  It is for me!  It is amazing how some music can move through you differently.  Listening to some sort of spiritual or Faith-based music, even classical, can help heal you from the inside out.  It can provide strength and comfort during difficult times. It can help people find hope and meaning in their struggles, and give them the courage to keep moving forward.  This is not to say you cannot listen to your favorite bands or genres outside of faith-based music, but in times of need, it can soothe you.

Churches can be a powerful way to connect with our spirituality and deepen our sense of meaning and purpose. They can help us connect with others worshipping, praising, singing, studying, and listening to our own problems and struggles.  A good church should be inviting and engaging.  They should be discussing national and worldly issues as they happen.  They should not be forcing any political affiliation, or views, on you but openly discussing major current events.  Mostly they should be tying those events into a spiritual discussion and teaching everyone to look to Jesus in those times.

There are many different spiritual traditions in the world, each with its own unique beliefs, practices, and teachings. By exploring different traditions, we can gain a broader perspective on spirituality and deepen our own spiritual practice.  A Sprinkle of Jesus is just that, a Sprinkle!  It is up to you to continue seeking out your own faith.  We at A Sprinkle of Jesus are not religious as we are more focused on just Jesus.  You can be spiritual and not religious.  There is a difference!

Praying, whether alone or with others, is beneficial for your soul.  It is easier than you think! It can help us become closer with Jesus, reduce stress, increase focus, and connect with others.  A lot of people only pray in times of need, but you should try to pray in good times too.  Jesus is with you always, good and bad times, so be thankful of the small and large moments in life.  Jesus does not want bad things for us, however, he gave us freewill.  And sometimes, unfortunately, bad things happen to good people.  It is easy to blame Jesus for allowing such things to happen.  Be mindful of this.  Pray, and give thanks when needed, and ask when needed.  Jesus works different than us!  Your prayers may be answered but not in the timeframe you would like, or in the exact way you would like.

Forgiveness is a central theme in many faiths and is essential for spiritual growth and healing. It involves letting go of anger and resentment towards oneself or others. Forgiveness can be a difficult process, but it can also be liberating and bring peace to the soul.

YOU ARE GOOD ENOUGH!  If you believe, and follow, and repent, you are good enough.  Jesus wants you, and he wants you to want him.  Come as you are!  We are ALL sinners.  Christians are called to be Christ like, not Christ himself.  We all fall from time to time, usually daily!  Pray, ask for forgiveness, and pick yourself up and do better tomorrow.

Whatever you learn in your journey to Jesus.....Pass it on!  We have been called to speak His name!  Praise Him!  Stand up and Stand Out!  Be a light in this darkened world!  You will move people!  Small acts of kindness and gestures, lead to Mighty outcomes!  Together we can make Heaven crowded!
